The Office of Campus Safety plans to test the ND Alert emergency notification system on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 1:45 p.m.
According to Mike Seamon, associate vice president for campus safety, during the test, notification messages will be sent to all contact information registered in the ND Alert system. This includes:
• Voice notifications to home, office and mobile telephones
• Text messages to registered mobile phones
• Electronic mail to nd.edu addresses
• Activation of the campus-wide public address system
Please verify your emergency contact information and make any necessary updates prior to the test. You may do so by choosing the “Update Emergency Contacts” link under “Employee Personal Information” on the MyResources tab of insideND.
The University has implemented ND Alert, a comprehensive mass notification system, to communicate with campus constituents during an incident. A complete description of the University’s emergency response procedures is available by accessing the University’s emergency website at emergency.nd.edu.
