IT maintenance begins on Oct. 26

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 through 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 (ET), Office of Information Technologies (OIT) systems engineers will perform a variety of planned maintenance activities and upgrades.

These activities will affect the availability of the following services for SOME or ALL of the maintenance period:

  • InsideND
  • Banner and all Banner dependent administrative applications, including:
  • ODS reporting and all dependent applications (including GLEZ, People EZ and Person Profile)
  • Administrative systems (INB, OnBase document management system and other Banner-related systems)
  • Payroll and benefits information, vacation/sick days, class search, and other self-service (SSB) systems
  • BOSSCARS, Xtender, RMS Housing, Appworx, ID Card Printing and other applications dependent on the Banner Oracle database
  • Academic LISTSERV (

From 3 to 6 a.m. Sunday Oct. 27, the following services will be UNAVAILABLE:

  • Authentication—LDAP, CAS (Central Authentication Service) and Kerberos and all services that use authentication, including:
  • AFS (including web sites hosted in AFS)
  • Google Apps
  • Box
  • Sakai
  • Sharepoint
  • Password change page (
  • ND Enterprise Directory Service (EDS)
  • Cayuse
  • Advance
  • VPN (
  • VoIP Call Manager
  • WebFile

Services that will NOT be affected during this maintenance are:

  • Internet access
  • Network services (wired & wireless)
  • VoIP and Centrex telephones
  • (main ND web page)
  • Exchange email and calendar
