Apply for Luksic Grants by July 15

Author: Carol Bradley

The Office of the Vice President and Associate Provost for Internationalization, Notre Dame International (NDI), is pleased to announce the Andrónico Luksic Grants program.

Supported by a gift from Chilean benefactor Andrónico Luksic to Notre Dame, these funds will enable faculty, PhD students, and representatives from Notre Dame to work, to study and to collaborate with their peers at the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) in Santiago de Chile.

The objective of the funding is to encourage the Notre Dame community to find new ways to engage with colleagues from PUC (on research, exchanges, conferences, etc.) and in particular to increase the number of Notre Dame faculty and staff going to Santiago. (Andrónico Luksic has made a separate gift directly to PUC for PUC faculty and staff to come to Notre Dame).

Notre Dame faculty and staff may apply for grants of up to $10,000. The next proposal deadline is July 15, 2013. Please consult the Request for Proposal for more information and submission guidelines.

The Luksic Grants program was established, with the valuable assistance of the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, through a formal agreement of cooperation signed between the University of Notre Dame and PUC on April 29th, 2013.
