Public lecture opens Biennial History of Astronomy Workshop

The Eleventh Biennial History of Astronomy Workshop begins with a free public lecture by F. Jamil Ragep, director of Islamic Studies at McGill University in Montreal. The lecture, “Islam at the Crossroads: Reflections on the History and Historiography of Astronomical Transmission,” takes place in the Jordan Hall DVT theater at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 12. The talk will be followed by a reception in the Jordan Galleria.
