Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to view the Transit of Venus

Author: Carol C. Bradley

It won’t happen again until 2117! On Tuesday, June 5, a little after 6 p.m.—for the only time in our lifetimes—the planet Venus will pass directly between the earth and the sun, casting a moving shadow. Safely view the Transit by telescope near the Jordan Hall sundial at the south end of the building. Free solar shades will be available for the first 500 arrivals. The whole family is welcome.
