Performances of the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival Mainstage Production of The Merchant of Venice take place Aug. 18 to 21, and Aug. 23, to Sunday, Aug. 28 in the Decio Mainstage Theatre, DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $12 to $20.
The play, directed by David Bell, begins with Bassanio’s quest for Portia. When plans go awry, betrayal and blind anger strike, leaving all to question justice, the power of love and how far all are prepared to go in order to belong.
Performances begin Aug. 16 (Tuesday) at 7:30 p.m., and conclude with a final performance on Aug. 28 (Sunday) at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in the Decio Theatre in the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. Tickets range from $12 to $35 with special pricing for the performance’s Opening Night Celebration on Thursday, Aug. 18. A complete schedule and ticket information are available here.
