World Refugee Day

Celebrate World Refugee Day at Notre Dame Downtown, 217 S. Michigan St., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18. The annual event, co-sponsored by the American Red Cross and the Ford Program at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, celebrates the welcome the South Bend community has extended to refugees from many countries, including Iraq, Liberia, Chad, Kenya, and Rwanda. Events will include dancing, drumming, Indonesian folk dance lessons and food from many different cultures, as well as games for children, a silent auction and raffles. Free and open to the public!
